Bristol Airport

A relatively young airport tracing its commercial roots only back to 1955 Bristol Airport is now one of the UK’s fastest growing airports. From slightly over 500,000 passengers in 1994 the airport now sees in excess of 4 million passengers a year. Situated in a rural area at Lulsgate Bottom some 7 miles to the south of Bristol the airport handle a mix of “No Frills”, charter and scheduled traffic.

Bristol Airport is one of few airports in the UK to have a dedicated drop off and pick up area in addition to the normal heavily policed area outside the terminal building. The dedicated area is a pay area but short stay charges are very reasonable and a cheaper alternative to the slightly more distant short stay area. Situated on level ground within 100 meters of the terminal current charges are free for 10 minutes, 50p up to 30 minutes, £2.00 up to 1 hour, £5.00 up to 90 minutes. Over 90 minutes £ 50.00. Additional 24 hours or part thereof £50.00

Check-in and Arrivals
As a general guideline, plan to arrive at Bristol airport one hour prior to scheduled departure for UK domestic flights and two hours prior to scheduled departure for international flights. Shops, restaurants and bars are open as normal and all purchases can be carried on board your aircraft, although larger items may have to go in the hold of the aircraft.
