Copenhagen Travel Guide

To experience some of Copenhagen's characteristic laid back ambience, head to Nyhavn for a beer in what is, essentially, the recreational centre of Copenhagen. With brightly coloured houses lining the canal, the aim is simply to relax, have fun and enjoy the weather on the bustling new harbour, packed with fashionable restaurants and cafes. Copenhagen is somewhat renowned for it's café culture and nightlife and the streets are literally buzzing with activity all year round. If, however culture is calling, there is always the Amalienborg Palace to see or even the fascinating ancient collections of the Ny Carlesberg Glyptotek museum. Take a stroll through Kongens Nytorv, (King's new square), flanked by numerous imposing mansions and buildings, not least of all, the Royal Theatre (Det Kongelige Teater), the d'Angleterre hotel and the Charlottenborg art gallery. With a Copenhagen card, entrance to museums and other attractions is free plus free transportation on bus and train. Now that's the stuff of fairy tales.
