Away the promenade there is also a wealth of attractions to be discovered including the Manx Museum, the centre of Manx National Heritage, and the treasure house. Sports enthusiasts are well catered for at the National Sports Centre at King George’s Park and the world famous Noble’s Park. There are also plenty of places nearby that are worth visiting, the most famous of which include the Laxey Wheel, Rushen Castle and the Manx Electric Railway. Highlight of the year is, of course the TT Races, which attract thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the world. Douglas’ nightlife is impressively eclectic with countless pubs, clubs, casinos and restaurants to suit virtually any taste.
