Enniskillen Travel Guide

Much of Enniskillen’s appeal lies in its proximity to the wonderful surrounding countryside. To the north are the lakes a popular destination for water sports enthusiasts, whilst the limestone hills are home to the Marble Arch Caves, which are open to tourists weather permitting. Historical attractions include the neo-classical Castle Coole House with its lovely parklands and Coles Monument, which affords a wonderful view of the town. Nearby Devenish Island in Lower Erne was once a monastic settlement and remains of a 12th century round tower, church, graveyard and Celtic cross can still be seen there.
