Inverness Travel Guide

Inverness has a long floral history and pride of place is taken by the magnificent Floral Hall, a sub tropical feast of
botanical wonders. Of course no trip to this part of the Scottish highlands
would be complete without visiting the 19th century Inverness Castle,
which is just East of the site of the castle believed to have been featured in
Macbeth; apparently the ghost of Duncan still walks along the riverbank. More
earthly pleasures can be derived from the Eastgate Shopping Centre and High
Street where you’ll find an excellent choice of shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs
and if you feel really adventurous Aviemore with it’s world class skiing is
just a short drive away. Inverness is a gem of a place, a truly wonderful city
in a beautiful part of the world.
