Staines

Much of the historic heart of the town is long gone but there are still some fine Georgian town houses and notable public buildings. Business, much of it connected with nearby Heathrow airport very much dominates the town and its environs.

Close to Staines however, are several of England’s most historic sites, Windsor Castle and Runnymede where the Magna Carta was signed a just a short drive from Staines. The south’s premier theme attraction Thorpe Park is also close by.

Epsom, Windsor and of course Royal Ascot racecourses are nearby sporting attractions and the town has a comprehensive range of leisure facilities.
