Found scattered around the countryside, including woods, farmers fields and nestled in between some houses, are more than 700 bunkers, built to defend the communist Albanians from any attacks from the capitalists in the west. Thankfully they never had to be used, and remain unused historic artefacts of Albania, to create an ethereal reminder of the years of communism.
