The Tirana pyramid opened in 1988, on his 80th anniversary, in dedication to Enver Hoxhas birth, a man who reigned in Albania from 1945 to 1985. The pyramid, designed by his architect daughter, Pranvera, looks like a concrete flying saucer! The place contains everything associated with hoxha, from valuables to anything he ever touched, with a marble statue, situated in the heart of the pyramid, of Enver himself. From the outside, visitors will see an illuminated star sitting at the apex of the pyramid, which emits light rays that angle downwards, to the sides of the building.
