Found at the northeastern end of the country, Shoal Bay East is THE beach in Anguilla. Its wide, stretching sands and translucent waters are perfect for swimming, snorkelling and diving. This area is very laid back, with the only accommodation and eateries being located on the beach. The country’s main landmark, the Fountain, which is an underground cave, sits close by and is a place where people used to go and worship. Today, the Fountain is a pilgrimage site, where only archaeologists are permitted.
