The beautiful mountainous region of Dilizhan, with its woods and springs, is the main source for most of the country’s mineral water. The area also attracts tourists to its museum and furniture and factory outlets of Dilizhan. Anyone interested in looking round ruins can visit Dilizhan’s two 13th century monasteries, Djukhtakvank and Matosavank, both of which face each other on opposite sides of a gorge. There is also a spa centre close by at Arzni, where visitors can relax and take it easy after a busy sightseeing day.
