Those who have tried it rave about the therapeutic rewards of a close encounter with these friendly intelligent marine mammals. There are several operators throughout the Bahamas that offer the ‘swimming with dolphins’ experience. However feeding and bodily contact are not allowed, these are wild creatures and should be treated with respect and the appropriate caution. But on the whole the risk of injury is slight and if you follow the instructors advice you’ll experience something that will stay with you for the rest of your life.
