This small sized park has been built mainly for conservation reasons, from planting trees and other flora to help the microclimate to preventing rare species of animals from becoming extinct, by introducing a breeding program to the park. The other purpose of the park is to educate the public about the animals by use of the parks’ guides, visitors' centre, museum, multi-use hall and museum. Animals living on the island are from Arabia and other outside areas, including the virtually extinct Arabian Oryx, zebras, springbok, impala, Persian gazelle and fallow deer.
