For that shopping experience of a lifetime, visitors need to go to a souq, a market where all sorts of wares are sold, from fancy coloured fabrics to spices to gold jewellery. The main market was built in 1978, a modern facility providing plenty of space for trading and negotiating, something which is commonplace here and getting an item at a good price becomes quite a challenge for the visitor!
