The nature reserve at Belavezhskaja Pushcha has around 507 square miles of ancient forest which extends 25 miles, from Kamjanjuky to the north of Brest. There are 55 species of animals within the reserve including wolf badger, elk, deer, boar, lynx, wild horse, ermine, otter, mink, beaver and European bison, which in the 1920’s was very close to extinction. Visitors can use their own cars, or one of the parks own buses, to explore the reserve.
