Belize - Jungle Adventure on the Rio Bravo

Belize sightseeing, attractions and online travel guide

Rio Bravo Conservation and Management Area consists of over 200,000 acres of subtropical rain forest. Its remote location and the outlawing of hunting means that it is a safe home for numerous endangered species including Black Howler Monkeys, Central American Spider Monkeys, Jaguars, Pumas, Ocelots, Margays, Jaguarondis, Tapirs, Peccaries, Ocellated Turkeys and Brocket Deer. Movement is easiest and quickest by boat although settlements are few. However, for the hardy explorer, there is much to enjoy – 355 species of bird and over forty Maya ruins.
