From the fjord area of Torres del Paine National Park the skyline is dominated by the incredible, ice capped Torres del Paine mountain range. The most striking landmarks are the almost vertical Fitzroy Massif and Mount Torres itself. Not a trek for the unfit or inexperienced, the going is tough and the weather can be extreme. But the rewards are priceless – incredible views of the plains below, close up views of the ice caps. Walk along immense glaciers and stumble across pristine valleys and exotic wildlife, including guanacos, pumas, parrots and condors. Torres del Paine is one the most spectacular and intriguing mountain ranges in the world, visitors with a penchant for adventure should seek it out.
