A ride in a helicopter is exhilarating on its own, but when it is hovering over some of the most beautiful scenery on the planet, it will take your breath away. There are several helicopter companies around, most based in San Jose, rides are usually between 30 and 60 minutes in duration and costs vary depending on the company, aircraft and pilot. It is not an inexpensive means of exploring but is more than worth it if you get a chance. Photos from the helicopter are spectacular as well – postcard perfect.
Just a tip: Don’t plan on eating any lunch right before your helicopter ride, it’s easy to get quite green about the gills up there.
