Dominica - Portsmouth

Dominica sightseeing, attractions and online travel guide

Sitting pretty on the edge of Prince Rupert Bay is Portsmouth, an area that was one of Columbus’ finds in 1504. There isn’t much in the way of history here, except for some strange attractions including a small, bright monument, which is dedicated to Lord Cathcart, who died in 1741 and another oddity is the row of shipwrecks, which are stacked up in the city’s shallow waters…definitely worth a look for its strangeness!
