One of the most mysterious, spectacular and widely debated structures on the face of the earth, the Great pyramid also lays claim to being the oldest and largest. We’re talking architectural engineering on an unimaginably colossal scale. Construction took some 20 years, but it would come as no surprise if it had taken 2 or 3 times that so immense are the proportions of this strangely alluring edifice. The mystery surrounding its construction are legendary and to this day we still don’t comprehend how such an ancient culture could build something that is impossible even using the very latest in modern technology. The mathematical complexities that relate it to the earths calendar and geography are mind boggling, but even these cannot compare with the feeling of awe as you stand next to a single structure that is the size of no less than four Manhattan blocks combined. The Great Pyramid is simply beyond your wildest imagination.
