An inlet, which is enveloped by the cape of Eysturoy island, the Skįlafjųršur is very extensive and secluded, with much to see in its surrounding area. Visitors should explore The Folk Museum in Glyvrar, which has an interior decorated as a 19th century Faroese home and walking just 30 minutes away from Skįlafjųršur, up into the mountains, via the small hamlet of Runavik, visitors will find the beautiful, glistening lake of Toftavatn, which is definitely worth a photograph or two.
