Falkland Islands - Volunteer Beach

Falkland Islands sightseeing, attractions and online travel guide

Housing the largest colony of breeding king penguins, is Volunteer Beach, east of Port Louis on Johnson's Harbour. Walking for a few hours east of the beach, the area of Volunteer Point provides an offshore breeding settlement for southern fur seals; visitors will need to bring their binoculars though, for a close up inspection! Returning back along the region of Volunteer Lagoon will provide visitors with many sightings of elephant seals. This is a trip of a lifetime to see wildlife up close and should not be missed!
