Located on the grounds of the outstanding Thurston Botanical Gardens, the Fiji Museum is a spectacular collection of South Pacific history and artefacts. With archaeological material dating back 3,500 years, a history gallery, masi gallery and Indo-Fijian objet d'art, the museum is a must see while stopping over in Suva. Open Monday-Friday: 8:00 – 4:00, Saturday: 9:00 – 4:30, the Fiji Museum offers the single most concentrated centre of traditional Fijian cultural preservation.
