Located in Kolari, West Lapland, Ylläs with its beautiful landscape, is the highest skiing area, being 700m above sea level. Ylläs provides winter fun for every type of visitor, with downhill slopes, many program services and a wide-spread system of cross-country trails. The area of Ylläs is made up of two villages, Ylläsjärvi and Äkkäslompolo, with ski buses taking visitors from their village accommodation to the lifts and trails. Skiers can even take public transport to the nearby skiing resort of Levi and ski back to Ylläs!
