Nice - Cimiez

Officially the oldest part of Nice is Cimiez, a sophisticated, mainly residential area with Roman origins dating back to the first century AD. The Roman’s biggest legacy the amphitheatre is still used as an entertainment centre and place an important role in the annual Jazz Festival. History lovers can visit the Archaeological Museum of Nice on the outskirts of Cimiez or the ruins of the Roman thermal baths.
