Visitors wanting to do a bit of dolphin or whale watching need to get down to the Bay and Straits of Gibraltar, where 3 species of dolphin can be seen, the Bottlenosed, Common and Striped Dolphin. Dolphin watching is more popular than whale watching, as sighting a whale is rare, but possible, including the largest mammal in the world, the Blue Whale. There are numerous dolphin-watching and whale-watching trips on offer for visitors, mainly at Marine Bay or Queensway Quay in Gibraltar.
