Corfu - Walking Mount Pantokrator

A fascinating alternative to the wonderful beaches of Corfu is its mountainous interior. Stunningly beautiful the slopes of the island’s highest peak Pantokrator are loved by both casual and experienced trekkers the world over. The lush vegetation with its plethora of wildflowers, bird-life and butterflies in early summer is breathtaking and the countless mountain villages are a welcome change from the coastal fishing towns and tourist traps. Fortunately the area is jealously protected with many islanders believing it ‘too good to share.’ It is no wonder that once explored visitor’s return to Pantokrator time and time again.
