There’s only one botanical garden in Guatemala and Jardín is it! Within 18,000 square metres of gardens are a large variety of exotic and local plants and includes various endangered species. The guided tours at the gardens are found to be very educational, with most of the plants being organised according to their scientific and common names. At the forefront though, conservation of plant species plays an important part within the gardens, with seeds being collected from the Botanical Gardens and countryside, for exchange with other botanical gardens overseas.
