Bali - Tanah Lot

An important sea temple believed to be protected by poisonous sea snakes slithering below; the Tanah Lot is has become a popular tourist attraction. Although it has lost some of its sacred appeal due to the tacky souvenir shops and other money pits surrounding the temple, it is still a must if visiting Bali. With its cliff side location over the sparkling sea the temple is best viewed at sunrise or sunset, it will be a lasting image of your Balinese adventures. Of course Bali is peppered with numerous other temples, all with unique beauty and intrigue to be discovered. Remember when visiting the temples to be respectful and dress accordingly. Most temples will require you to wear a sash around your waist and long trousers.
