The waters off the coast at Aquaba are particularly rich in a wide variety of soft corals and have become increasingly popular with scuba divers due to the diversity of the dives available and the superb conditions and visibility. The choice of dives range from coral gardens and fringing reefs to pinnacles, drop offs and canyons. Highlights include the wreck of the Cedar Pride, a freighter purposely sunk in 1986 and the picturesque Japanese Gardens. Marine life encounters include turtles, fish, whale sharks, groupers, angelfish, barracuda, white tip shark, mantas, eels, octopus and if you look carefully maybe even seahorses.
