Crafts galore can be found at the Craft Cultural Complex, a place that sits on a hillside overlooking the Teluk Yu sea. A large amount of Malaysian handiwork is exhibited, including hand-drawn batik, carefully carved silverware and the hand-crafted Langkawi crystal. Live shows of traditional weaving methods keep the younger crowds in awe and including types such as songket, which is cloth with gold thread and Mengkuang, pandanus leaves to create domestic objects. If there’s time to spare, visitors can also have a look round one or all three of the museums, also found within the complex.
