Travelling to the North west of Pakistan, visitors will behold a stunning valley, named Chitral, nestled within the Hindukush mountain range. The place is quite small with a population of around 20,000 and the town only has one street market with not many tourist class hotels. The attractions to the town though, is what entices its visitors; besides the bazaar is the Chitral fort and Palace of Mehtar, the former ruler's palace, with the Jami Mosque, a striking piece of architecture with attractive designs within its interior, situated at the front of the town.
