Its the largest city in the country and has a strange mix of buildings from ultra modern electronic shops to old buildings to bazaars and trendy new hotels. All the places of interest are quite a distance from each other, so a rickshaw or taxi is definitely needed to get around. One place to head off to is the white-marbled Defence Housing Society Mosque, a single dome, the biggest in the world, with its awe-inspiring heights giving anyone painful neck ache! Other places include St. Andrews Church and Holy Trinity Cathedral, due to their brilliant Anglo-Indian architecture. One sight not to miss thought is the Zoroastrian Towers of Silence, a place in the hills where the dead were traditionally exposed to vultures...strange but true!
