Located at the western tip of Panama, Chiriqui is an area not well known to outsiders, a place full of colour, adventure, wildlife, culture and mountain villages. Due to only a few tourists knowing about the area, the province attracts many local Panamanians from the capital to its hot, tropical mountain refuge. Panama’s only volcano, at 3,478 meters, resides here, whose slopes are covered in a black, fertile soil that has made Chiriqui's moorlands, the agricultural salvation for the rest of Panama.
