A busy tourist spot but one that is a must-visit! The area is a geological phenomenon, a volcano within a lake that’s within a volcano! Even thought it’s the world's smallest, active volcano, Taal is deadly when an eruption takes place. Visitors can only get to the volcano by a 45 minute ride on a banca, a type of wooden boat, which at the end of the journey will require a further 15 minute walk to the crater’s peak. After visiting that volcano, visitors can get themselves all hot and bothered again at another, older and bigger volcano, only an hour away, but will need a qualified guide for the trip.
