Poland - Great Masurian Lakes

This is where most of the lakes in Poland can be found and is the number one destination for canoeing and yachting addicts. Masuria’s largest lakes are the Mamry and Sniardwy lakes and are connected by canals and rivers, to develop a widespread system of waterways. Visitors can browse around the towns in the region, which are mainly open in the Spring and Summer, with Mikolajki and Gizycko providing most of the tourist accommodation and restaurants. The best way for getting around and to view the lakes, is by bicycle, available from any of Masuria’s cycle hire shops.
