From quirky 9 hole starter courses like Vale do Milho right up to full championship complexes like Penina and Vilamoura, there is just about something to suit all levels of skill amongst the 19 fantastic golf courses on the Algarve. Most of the courses lie along the stretch of coast between Faro and Albufeira and a golfing holiday really requires a hire car as many of the courses are set away from the main roads. Some of the most prestigious courses include Quinta do Alta, Quinta do Lago and Vilamoura I, II and III. Check before travelling however, which of the courses may only be available to guests in associated accommodation, which is sometimes the case. The weather rarely fails to produce perfect golfing conditions and is just one of the factors which make the Algarve the ideal destination for a superb golfing holiday.
