Russia - The Trans Siberian Railway

Any railway that covers over a third of the globe has to be something a bit special. As the longest continuous rail line on earth, stretching an unbelievable six thousand miles, the Trans-Siberian Railway has long been an almost mythical route across this massive and enigmatic country. The great joy of this railway is the social interaction enjoyed with the other passengers, not to mention the fantastic shifting scenery of this vast and endlessly varied nation, visiting Russian towns and cities from the historic Volga port of Yaroslavl to Irkutsk and the scenic Lake Baikal region. Snaking across the country from Moscow to Vladivostok in true Dr Zhivago style, the Trans Siberian railway is amazing Russian experience.
