Pink, pink, blinkety blink! Visitors need to get down to this marvellous sight, Senegal’s famous pink lake (Lac Rose), with its shallow, warm waters surrounded by white foam. Of course though, it isn’t really pink…it’s a certain algae in the lake that makes the sunlight reflect a pink colour into its waters. The kids would love it and due to it being of a very high salinity, visitors can actually float on top of the water, just like the Dead Sea! Any visitors travelling here need to come on a sunny day, as without the sun, there isn’t any pink!
