Singapore River lights up after the sun goes down. Once riddled with merchants and traders offloading their cargo, today Clarke and Boat Quay paint quite a different picture. The Quays make up the bulk of Singapore’s vibrant nightlife. Transformed into a sea of shops, restaurants, bars and live music venues the Quays are a must see. With 35 bars and restaurants Boat Quay has the widest variety of el fresco dining and music opportunities. Whereas the festive, bold and colourful Clarke Quay has over 200 shops, restaurants, hawker stalls and entertainment complexes. Again restaurants line the riverside creating a romantic ambience. The best approach to the Quays is to stroll around first and then decide where to park yourself, there is something different with every step you take.
