Costa Del Sol - ‘Rock Art’ at Cueva de la Pileta

Costa Del Sol sightseeing, attractions and online travel guide

For a chance to culturally enhance your trip to the Costa del Sol don’t miss the opportunity to visit some of Spain’s most spectacular prehistoric art. Approximately seven miles from Ronda lies the archaeological enclave that was discovered in 1905 by the Bullon family. The Cueva de la Pileta has remained a family run historical site and was also declared a national monument. Step into the interior of this cave and step back in time. Guided by a lamp and a guide you will eye superb Rupestrian art donned on the rock interior. One-hour tours are available daily from 10am – 5 pm (note: 2 pm – 4 – siesta!)
