Fuerteventura - Beaches of Jandia Peninsula in the South

Fuerteventura sightseeing, attractions and online travel guide

Most of the southern region of the island is a protected area meaning that tourism hasn’t destroyed the very beauty that attracts visitors in the first place. The south coast is a long stretch of outstanding white beaches known as Playa de Sotavento de Jandia. This line-up of beaches is ideal for grabbing a book and lounging in the sun with the occasional dip in the sea to cool off. For surf and sport the beaches of Corralejo are more suitable. If you want to bare all with limited viewers head to the other side to Playa de Barlovento de Jandia. These beaches are less accessible thus more secluded. Use caution however, the waters are wild on this stretch of beach. Miles upon miles of sandy paradise can be yours.
