Fuerteventura - Fishing for Sardines, Tuna and Swordfish

Fishing has become a top activity in Fuerteventura due to its unbelievably fertile and transparent waters. In fact many holidays to the island are based solely around the sport. There is one stretch of water between Fuerteventura and Africa that is especially rich with marine life. Sardines, tuna and swordfish in particular are plentiful around the island. There are several charter-fishing companies on Fuerteventura that will guide you to the best fishing holes around. Of course if you wish to just view some of the areas marine life rather than fish it, many scuba diving schools can be found scattered around the island.
