Considered to be amongst the top six most beautiful villages in all Spain, Yaiza deserves every inch of its reputation. More akin to villages in North Africa than Spain it is a pleasure to behold, the pristine whitewashed buildings framed wonderfully by luxuriant sprays of colourful flowers. The beauty of this enchanting town is matched only by the wonderful countryside that surrounds it, the rich black picon terrain adding an air of mystery and romance. It is no wonder locals refer to Yaiza as the ‘Capital of the South’.
