Malaga - The El Chorro Gorge

Created by thousands of years of erosion by the Gaudalhorce River the incredible El Chorro Gorge is a strange as it is spectacular. A favourite with the extreme sport set the gorge offers a real challenge to climbers and trekkers. El Chorro’s unique feature is the hair-raising Kings Walkway, a stone crumbling catwalk which follows the length of the gorge high up the shear rock face and was never actually used by the King for whom it was built. Made famous by the movie Von Ryan’s Express the distinctly precarious pathway has an irresistible temptation for both the brave and the foolhardy.
