The best places for visitors to hike in Tahiti is around the remote island of Marquesas and Nuku Hiva and the main island of Tahiti. For visitors wanting the more scenic trails though, the road on the south coast of Tahiti with the Te Pari Cliffs to the east are the best. This hike will take visitors past many breath taking hidden valleys and along the attractive coastline. There is also a trek to the Te Pari Cliffs, a stunning region which also involves an overnight stay. Another interesting trail in Tahiti will lead hikers to the peak of Aorai, a height of over 2000 metres and a hike of 10 km, with two huts on the way providing for overnight stops.
