Taiwan - Hot Springs

Taiwan sightseeing, attractions and online travel guide

There’s plenty of varied scenery to be found at Yangmingshan National Park with serene lakes, hot springs, verdant fields and volcanic holes! The biggest mountain range in the area, Mount Tatun, was shaped by volcanic activity 2 million years ago with Mount Mientien, Mount Hsiaokuanyin, Mount Chutsu and Mount Hsiangtien arriving 750,000 years ago. The hot springs found at Tahuang-tsui and Matsao has steam-spouting fumaroles and visitors can see where corrosive gases have actually worn away the earth’s surface!
