Asia’s most notorious nightspot, Patpong has, in recent years, gone to some lengths to clean up its act. The main initiative is the introduction of the colourful night market, which starts around 10pm and closes around 1am. As with any shopping excursion in Bangkok it is customary to haggle and there are some excellent bargains to be had. Of course the majority visit Patpong for its vibrant bar scene, sex shows and prostitutes. The girls are generally beautiful but be aware this is only business to them and the health risks are high, one should also be aware that Patpong is also the world capital of the ‘Lady Boy’ so check out those Adam’s apples.
