Totally different to Tongatapu, with mountainous terrain, rainforests and natural foliage, ‘Eua is one great place to climb, hike or abseil. The second biggest island in the Tongatapu group, 'Eua also has other scenic areas, for visitors who prefer to just relax and take it easy, one of which is Tufuvai Beach, with its white sandy beaches and coral reef, creating an idyllic paradise. Visitors who can manage a bit of climbing need to go and see the ruins of Anokula Palace, located 393 feet up in the cliffs, will provide a great view of the island and its various species of birds, with a chance to see some flying foxes. Lastly, the centre of ‘Eua has around a dozen limestone caves to explore and many sinkholes for visitors to delve down deep!
