Fancy a bit of snorkelling? One great place is in Vava'u, far north of Tonga, which provides some really great snorkelling sites and is very popular with visitors who come to Vava'uon a day’s tour. Another good snorkelling area is the reef off Mala Island, where tourists will be able to see coral, clams and plenty of marine life including at certain times of the year, the humpback whale. Other snorkelling places can be found on Tongatapu, just off Ha'atafu Beach where more underwater mammals can be observed.
