United Arab Emirates - Arabian Wildlife Centre

United Arab Emirates sightseeing, attractions and online travel guide

Living at the only wildlife centre in Arabia, 26 km from the centre of Sharjah, in vast, spacious, natural surroundings are over 100 species of the country’s wild animals. The centre, which opened in the autumn of 1999, has been devised in such a way that enables the animals to live as natural a life as possible, where the animals can socialise and hopefully breed. Visitors to the centre will be able to gain information about the a endangered species breeding program, which is doing all it can to keep some of Arabia’s wildlife including the Arabian Leopard, from becoming extinct.
